Dadi Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET) successfully conducted the Student Induction Program for first-year students from 29th July 2024 to 12th August 2024. The program aimed to integrate the new students into campus life and provide them with a comprehensive overview of their academic journey. It helped the new students become acquainted with the campus, buildings, facilities, and resources, which is particularly important for students transitioning from high school to an institution. The program is conducted annually with the purpose of easing the transition for incoming students, who often feel a sense of isolation or homesickness when they first arrive on campus. Induction programs facilitate social integration by offering opportunities to meet other students, make friends, and build a sense of belonging within the campus community.
The Induction Program also promotes cultural diversity and inclusivity, helping students become aware of different perspectives and cultural sensitivities. During the program, important information about campus policies, procedures, and services—such as health services, counseling, and financial aid—is shared, ensuring that students are well-informed about the support systems available to them.
In alignment with AICTE requirements, DIET organized the Induction Program on 29th July 2024 for the newly admitted B.Tech. First-year students. The objective of this program was to familiarize students with the institution, ease their transition, foster a sense of belonging, and provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive academically and personally during their time at DIET. Additionally, the program aimed to introduce students to career planning and development, helping them reflects on their future career goals and the resources available to support them throughout their academic journey.
The Induction Program began with registration, followed by the official Induction sessions. The newly enrolled students, along with their parents and siblings, attended the event with great enthusiasm and curiosity, eager to learn about their new environment. The students showed remarkable excitement and engagement as they step-aboard on this new chapter of their academic lives.
