Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is also called as the Clean India Mission. It is a national level campaign run by the Indian Government to cover all the backward statutory towns to make them clean. It is a politics free campaign and inspired by the patriotism. It is launched as a responsibility of the each and every Indian citizen to make this country a Swachh country. This campaign has initiated people globally towards the cleanliness. As a part of it NSS volunteers, Teachers and students of DIET have joined this “Clean India Campaign” very actively with great fervor and joy on 11th February, 2017. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the students regarding Cleanliness and its benefits. Under this programme, all the students had to participate. Even teachers were the essential part of this drive. As a part of this Cleanliness Drive, we had cleaned the surroundings of the college building. Every paper and waste like wrappers etc was picked by volunteers. The sweepers of the college were mere observers. NSS volunteers made everyone to take pledge to keep their home clean, locality, college and city clean. Volunteers also participated in GVMC Swachh servakshan Survey to identify the uncovered areas under Swachh Bharat in the city.
