Overview
The Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities (BS&H) is one of the pioneering departments of the institute, established in 2006 along with the inception of the institution. Since its foundation, the department has played a pivotal role in supporting all engineering disciplines, forming the academic backbone for technical education.
At the time of establishment, the institute began engineering education with four branches, each having an intake of 60 students (Total: 240 students). Over the years, the institute has expanded significantly and now offers eight branches, each with an intake of 60 students (Total: 1020 students). Throughout this growth, the BS&H department has remained central to academic excellence and foundational learning.
