Department of Computer Science & Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2006, since the inception of the college. The department initially started with an annual intake of 60 students for the B.Tech. (CSE) programme.

To contribute to the society through excellence in scientific and knowledge-based education by utilizing the potential of Computer Science and Engineering with a deep passion for Technology, Culture and Values.

MISSION:

• To offer State-of-Art education in Computer Science and Engineering
• To provide strong theoretical foundation complemented with extensive practical training
• To impart Software, Communication and Leadership Skills to the students for giving solutions to the Global Challenges
• To inculcate Value-based, Socially Committed Professionalism to the cause of overall development of Students and Society

With the increasing demand for computer professionals in the software industry, there is a growing need for quality education and advanced training. The department continuously modernizes laboratories, updates the teaching-learning process, and provides exposure to emerging technologies to meet industry standards.

The department has a balanced blend of experienced and young faculty members. A majority of the faculty are actively involved in:

• Research and development activities

• Attending seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs organized by reputed institutions

The college management provides financial support to faculty members for attending national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars to upgrade their professional competencies.

The CSE Department is equipped with:

• 644 computer systems

• Fully air-conditioned laboratories

• 125 KVA DG power backup for uninterrupted functioning

• Licensed software including MS Office, Oracle, and other development tools

• High-speed 1 Gbps LAN connectivity

The laboratories are aesthetically designed to provide a comfortable and technology-enabled learning environment.
