Context

Dadi Institute of Engineering & Technology (DIET) is a self financing Engineering College Established in 2006. It is sponsored by The Sarada Educational Trust which is established by academician, former minister and opposition leader of the State Legislative Council of  Andhra Pradesh Sri Dadi Veerabhadra Rao. His sole objective is to empower the rural youth with high quality cutting edge technical education for the development of the region and subsequently the Nation. The college is making greater strides in the field of technical education and has emerged as prefered institute under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The campus is located adjacent  to  National Highway-16 at Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and it is permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

Our Institute is accredited by NAAC in 2017 for a period of 5 years and reaccrediated with grade A  in 2023 for a period of 5 years.

In order to enrich the academics, the college organizes conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs, MOOCs courses and guest lectures throughout the academic year. Student chapters of IEEE, CSI (Computer Society of India), IET(The Institution of Engineering & Technology), ACM(Association for Computing Machinery), IETE(The institution of Electronics & Tele communication Engineers), AIMA( All India Management Association), CII(Confederation of India Industry), ISTE(India Society for Technical Education), FAPCCI(The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers & Commerce), TCS iON, MICROSOFT IT Academy, ORACLE Academy and many more have been established to keep the students updated with latest trends in these professional societies.

National Bodies like NRDC have  inked  MOA with DIET for Providing IP & Technology Commercialization Services-An agreement in the form of MOA was signed between National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), an Enterprise of Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and Dadi Institute of Engineering and Technology.

The college has signed several MOUs for strengthening the Academia-Industry interaction. Training and Placement cell of the college is very active and it invites several renowned companies to the campus for placements. The Training and Placement Cell organizes many training programmes for the students to enhance their employability skills.. Along with the complete focus on enriching the teaching and learning expertise of the students, the college also pays significant attention towards fostering their latent skills by exposing them to a myriad of co curricular and extracurricular activities. The college encourages students for participating in sports at different levels. This leads to holistic development of the students.

Apart from having well equipped laboratories and modern infrastructure the college has a learner centric approach and personal attention towards all the students, Counseling and mentoring is done on regular basis to the students  to identify their problems and  address them..Feedback obtained  from the stakeholders  is used for further improvement of the institute.

The institute has produced about  two thousand and five hundred engineers during last 14 years. Many of our alumni are placed across the globe in reputed multi –national companies and are doing a considerable service  and  playing  their part in ‘Nation Building’.

The institute has provided individual cubicals to the staff in the staff rooms , waiting halls for girls, and spacious sheds for vehicle parking, mineral water plant for drinking water, a well-furnished canteen, and on campus health center with all emergency health equipment. It has its own fleet of buses to help students and faculty to commute from various parts of the city of Visakhapatnam and its suburbs. 
  
The management aims at academic excellence and has left no leaf un-turned to achieve it. DIET has always adopted itself to the changing needs of the technological world and improved its infra-structural facilities to provide the student community the best facilities to excel in the engineering and management programs.

Quality improvement has been the hallmark of the success saga of  the institution and is certified by ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001: 2007 certifications.
